This workshop will cover all the basics as well as advance techniques of painting in Plein Air. Build your confidence by improving your ability to capture the moment. Working in the studio you will learn to simplify and organize your setup as well as your composition. This informative workshop will consist of instruction, demonstrations and hands on painting by each student. Individual time and instruction will be emphasized!

Plein Air Concepts for the Studio Landscape Painter - Art Loft, Dahlonega, GA - February 23-25 -  $335

Even if you never leave the Studio, applying the basic Plein Air Techniques will improve your ability to add depth, atmosphere and life to your Landscapes. This workshop will cover all the basics as well as advance techniques of painting in Plein Air and how to apply them to your studio work. This informative workshop will consist of instruction, demonstrations and hands on painting by each student. Individual time and instruction will be emphasized!

PLIEN AIR WORKSHOP, Oil Painting -  Art Loft, Dahlonega, GA - May 31, June 1, 2   -   $335

This workshop takes you out on location to get hands on experience painting in Plein Air with oil. Begin with a half day in the Studio for demonstration and landscape painting theories followed by first-hand experience in the field. Learn to manage equipment, simplify composition, and add depth to your paintings. Whether you are new to the Plein Air approach or seasoned, this workshop offers individual instruction and group critiques that will enhance your skills.

“OIL PAINTING - Glass, Metal and Fabric ”  Binders Art Supply, Atlanta, GA - August 11, 12 - $225

A still life workshop focusing on the treatment of glass, metal and Fabric. Increase your ability to paint what you see, developing your awareness of shapes, values and edges. Students will learn how to organize art equipment, paint with a limited palette, select good composition, identify light, dark and arrange in masses.  We will also touch on basic drawing skills that will strengthen your ability to paint what you see. This informative workshop will consist of instruction, demonstrations and hands on painting by each student. Individual time and instruction will be emphasized!
